POSITION TITLE: Job Coach

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Director of Workbased Learning

SALARY/FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt – Full Time

*This job will take place mainly in West Pasco County*

ORGANIZATION MISSION:

The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay is to provide high-quality, out-of-school Club experiences to ensure our young people, especially those who need us most, are on track to graduate from high school with a plan for their future, demonstrate good character & citizenship, and live a healthy lifestyle.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Job Coach will oversee and manage the BayCare Apprenticeship (along with our other internship and apprenticeship programs), as well as OJJDP support as a Job Coach Case Manager, along with some other programming support. This person will work closely with the other members of the Workforce team to ensure Club members are engaged in the apprentice opportunities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in recruiting Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas County students for Fall, Spring, and Summer Apprenticeship Cohorts
• Attend College & Career Fairs throughout Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas County
• Facilitate interviews with candidates
• Assist with onboarding, training, and time sheet management
• Be the on-site BGCGTB representative and liaison for student interns to ensure quality of programming is met
• Lead and manage the OJJDP Mentoring grant and case management
• Ensure all youth files are complete and up to date
• Facilitate/track mentoring sessions done by WF team
• Manage all data for OJJDP grant
• Assist in paperwork management for program onboarding
• Facilitate site visits to ensure interns/program are doing well
• Work with BGCGTB internal staff to assist in managing Future Leaders program
• Assist with onboarding, training, and time sheet management
• Be a chaperone on weekly Friday Career Exploration field trips

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay; and the principles and practices of non-profit organization
• Experience working with middle and high school aged students in a workforce program preferred
• Positive attitude with a strong belief in a team mentality.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
• Demonstrated organizational, staff, and project management abilities.
• Strong technical skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

TRAVEL:

Travel may be required to multiple Club facilities throughout Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas County for training and/or other business purposes.
