Job Title: Non-Destructive Testing Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Non-Destructive Testing Technician to join our team. The position is available for four openings and involves working from 3:30 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Thursday. This role requires a professional who can conduct quality weld inspections and provide comprehensive reports in accordance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality weld inspections using various methods in accordance with industry standards and contract specific requirements.
• Provide factual and comprehensive data, drafting reports that address NDT inspection criteria completely.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Production, Customers, and Third Party Surveyors as required.
• Prepare Quality Plans, Inspection, and Test Reports.
• Review and certify final documentation for customers.
• Demonstrate proficiency performance as a minimum NDT Level I / II with at least 600 logged hours in any two areas such as Visual, Dry Method, Wet Method, Gamma & X-Ray Radiography, Thickness & Shearwave Ultrasonic.
• Set up and perform NDT test procedures, interpreting specifications relative to NDT testing and acceptance/rejection criteria.
• Familiarize with the scope and limitations of the qualified methods and provide guidance to trainees.
• Prepare written instructions, organize, and report the results of examinations.
• Work independently and support team members.
• Perform other job-related tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in NDT methods including VT, MP, PT, UT, RT.
• Certification to ASNT-TC-1A in at least two NDT methods such as Visual Examination, Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle Testing, Radiographic Testing, Ultrasonic Testing.
• Previous Level II Certification to ASNT-TC-1A with documented classroom and on-the-job training experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Certified Level II Visual Examination, Liquid Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle Testing preferred.
• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) is a plus.
• Experience in inspecting metal fabrications, pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or gas systems.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

The technician will work under the direction of the Team Manager and will be responsible for safely producing quality parts in a timely manner. Our facility includes three large machining centers with potential growth opportunities in learning multiple different machining centers. The facility is clean and well-lit, with some buildings being temperature controlled while others are not.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $76900.00 - $110000.00/yr.
