AECOM  is seeking a Performance Management Analys t for one of our offices in  Sacramento, CA

JOB SUMMARY: 

This position sits within the Program Performance and Risk Management Branch. This role provides analytical support to project controls group for effective program delivery, on-time performance and robust risk management. The analyst works in partnership with the leads of Cost, Schedule, and Risk Units to effectively collate, monitor, and report performance against the baseline and help keep overall performance on track. They are responsible for developing, maintaining, and reviewing project controls data including budget, cash and cost forecasts, program schedules and risk information and providing accurate, timely reporting of the program’s performance with variance analysis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the aggregation and analysis of program cost data to the Authority’s approved budget by WBS.
  • Perform cost sensitivity analysis of critical path tasks providing optimized build sequence for the program in near real-time.
  • Perform scenario analysis for different and evolving ridership revenue models.
  • Build business cases for competing operational and execution strategies using different valuation models.
  • Extract, clean and analyze large financial data-sets sourced from different applications checking them for consistency and correct application of agreed assumptions. Prepare management presentations with data visualization.
  • Use Excel automation tools to develop templates for visual dashboards that can be updated with actual data on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Lead adoption of Microsoft Co-Pilot and other AI tools to make project reporting easier, faster and more efficient.
  • Work with vendors AI based survey results to identify variances between actual & planned progress and develop innovative tools for assisting with operational improvements.
  • Monitor risk profiles of ongoing contracts and identify risk triggers & risk drivers based on monthly actuals data.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments across active contracts and upcoming procurements.
  • Support Authority Grant applications and Program reporting requirements.
  • Compare and analyze trends and risks against the original cost estimates and approved budgets. Identify opportunities to bring cost trends to prompt mitigations in line with estimates and budgets.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the Project Controls Office, including Change Management, Performance Management, Scheduling and Cost estimation teams. Actively provide analytical support on cross-functional teams, in funding & cost estimate workshops, and in procurement planning sessions

Qualifications



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Bachelors in Economics
  • Certifications in machine learning or building use-cases for application of AI in business analytics
  • Certifications in financial analytics
  • Work experience in FP&A at a large multi-billion dollar corporation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional coordination.
